Health walks are regular, short walks that last between thirty minutes and two hours and are aimed at people over 50 of all abilities and fitness levels. Every walk is led by trained walk leaders and is part of the National Walking for Health programme.
Walking is an ideal way to take regular exercise, it is sociable and enjoyable and enables you to get out in the fresh air and visit some of the beautiful green spaces in your local area.
Walks are FREE and there is no need to book.
Regular weekly walks take place in Ripon, Knaresborough and Harrogate with additional monthly walks in Pateley Bridge and Jennyfields.
If you’re enthusiastic about walking and would like to help others to do so – why not train to be a Volunteer Walk Leader?
A free, one day training course, delivered locally will provide you with all you need to start leading health walks, please get in touch for further details.
